Brian's most recent academic work includes two chapters on the regulation of medical devices and optimizing patient safety (
Iadanza E, editor. Clinical Engineering Handbook, second edition. Cambridge: Elsevier. 2020. )

Brian is an active contributor to a number of charitable causes, including:

  • Vice President, The Canadian Psoriasis Network

Brian is also certified by the Mental Health Commission of Canada in Mental Health First Aid.
